I love the way this one turned out! That banjo line is everything! Thanks, Peter Oviatt. This song was partially written for over a year and finally came together in the studio. There are some heavy influences from Making Movies in this one. “You are another me and I am another you” comes directly from their albums. There's also a heavy influence from the Mishomis Book by Edward Benton Banai. I was listening to a lot of Nahko when I wrote this one.
This world is our home. We got work to do. You are another me and I am another you, & there’s many a road to the high place. Each one brings a thing the rest can’t live without. Each one walks a road that only they know all about. So, you got to tend your fields, you got to carry the water. You got to make a place for our sons and our daughters. Do what you do and take up your space, cause there’s many a road to the high place. I have all the faith you so who you are. Looking for the answers, well now is how you start. I am not just me and you are not just you but we are something bigger and together we get through.
